Silver Powders
Linbraze products span the entire range of silver powders in a wide variety of different grain structures, grain sizes and all having a high degree of purity. Silver powders are used when high electrical and thermal conductivity are called for, in antibacterial coatings and innovative contact materials. Linbraze has a wide range of different manufacturing processes designed to fulfill these requirements. The atomizing of liquid silver produces a powder with a high tap density which is composed of spherical particles. Silver electrolysis, on the other hand, is used to create dendritic or crystalline structures. The chemical precipitation of silver powders results in very fine agglomerated powders with a large specific surface area. Subsequent grinding of fine powders produces silver flakes with special surface quality. In addition to the flow properties, the grain size distribution and the tap density are crucial for subsequent processing stages.
